Who’s not fed up with the Great British summer?! With June and July being complete wash outs!

Who can plan anything other than to go abroad for some fun in the sun! What a perfect place to do that than the sunshine state of the USA Florida!  From Feb-Nov you can guarantee sunshine and warmth!

FEB-MARCH
Visitors can expect spring temperatures in the 70’s  this time of the year you can enjoy very comfortable temperatures indeed.

APRIL
Is perfect for an Easter holiday break in Florida, the weather is warm with temperatures in the 80’s with humidity low.

MAY
See’s temperatures rise to the late 80’s and sometimes you may have the odd shower as humidity rises, so packing an umbrella is a very good idea also a poncho for staying dry on rides in case of a shower!

JUNE/JULY/AUG
Summer hits hard in Florida it’s inevitable that temperatures will be in the 90’s with the hotter temperatures comes the humidity and it does get very close then come the rain! You may experience a heavy down pour although they don’t usually last long!! Then out comes the sun again and dries up all the rain and you carry on holidaying in the sun!!

SEP/OCT/NOV
Whilst the rest of the USA can be experiencing cool, dry crisp temperatures Florida’s temperatures  are still in the late 80s in sep to the low 70’s, Oct sees mid 80’s to low 70s.
Nov visitors can expect high 70s to mid 50’s.

Calling all you spooksters out there! Legoland Florida looks forward to its first anniversary party this October which looks to be amazing!

But the big event before that is going to be the Fourth of July this will have guests wearing 3 d glasses which will make fireworks look like exploding bricks!

The celebrations at floridas newest park has planned its events specially geared towards towards family’s with children 2-12 years.

This years fourth of July celebration is sure to delight and dazzle you.

HALLOWEEN

Halloween - Florida Events
The Halloween event will take place every Saturday and Sunday in October 2012 and is set to be more fun than the opening event was so get your tickets fast!!

The admission is included in your days pass so nothing to spook you out there!!!
This is set to be a favourite with the haunters as much if not more than the dark scary events and it adds to the excitement to have your little ones involved.

FIRST CHRISTMAS
Lego Florida are planning a Christmas brickacular with an amzing Christmas tree made from over 270,000 bricks!

Can you imagine how amazing the decorations will be! Also looking forward to the events and of course the main man Santa Claus!

If when your at Legoland Florida you find yourself wondering how the bricks are ,ade then be sure to take a tour of the factory, where you will find out exactly how they are made, also you will be able to make your own bricks if you choose to, what a fab souvenier of your Florida holiday.

Fantasyland is expanding it will be more than double its current size, with two phases that are due to open in both 2012 and 2013 the land will offer more imaginative and immersive experiences and will introduce a fuller array of characters, to give you a taste of some of the changes planned!

YOU’LL GO UNDER THE SEA!
This little mermaid ride looks set to be very immersive, guests will get a ride into 3 dimensional retelling of the animated film!

LESS QUEUEING AT DUMBOS’
Duo Dumbo  rides are due  - so less queuing  for this ever popular ride!
The barnstormer is getting renamed and slightly re-themed the new name is The Great Goofini to take it back to its story book circus roots!

HIGH HO!
Well! Disney has been at work to come up with the all new Snow White Ride!  The ride focuses on the dwarfs and their work in the diamond mine, to add a little thrill the carts will swing to and fro as they navigate the track, they have focused on the ride with excellent settings and theme relating to the movie - every little girls dream!

The new Mini Lands will include guests in activities instead of the classic meet and greet, Disney are stepping it up a bit as it will envelop guests into the worlds of classic Disney films adding to the make believe that is Magic Kingdom!

BEAUTY AND THE BEASTLAND!
I t won’t just be Cinderella that has the castle in Fantasyland, the Beast is due a castle too!
There will be a Belle’s village with her father’s cottage, where a magic mirror will transport guests to the Beast’s castle where guests can act out the fairytale for Belle!
After all that excitement guests can dine at the elegant  “Be Our Guest “restaurant ”, or grab a quick bite at the Gaston’s tavern.

PRINCESSES MANIA!
There will be a new meet and greet area Princess fairytale hall where you can meet all the princesses wow what an amazing experience for any little girl!!!

Tallahassee - Florida Holidays

This is a free attraction and not to he missed!


Tallahassee Museum of Florida History 




This is Florida’s newest exhibit that explains the history in Florida from 1513-1821, titled forever changed La Florida it highlights the arrival of European nations to Florida.

Phase one of the new exhibit opened on the 3rd march 2012 and is spilt into 3 sections the section known as the “land of many sections” highlights the year 1513 when up to a million people where in Florida, including the Timucua, Apalachee, and Calusa Indians, featured in this section is a recreated native dwelling.
The other two sections in phase one include “Spanish exploration” and “meeting of many cultures”.

The highlight of the Spanish section is the Spanish ship that visitors can walk through whilst learning about the age of exploration.

In the “meeting of many cultures” section you will be amazed by the life sized figures of people who lived in Florida in the sixteenth century.

All of phase one includes artefacts, drawings as well as interactive activities.
When the next phase is complete it will cover Floridian history through from 1821.

The completion of the museum is one of the many ways which Florida is celebrating its 500th anniversary in 2013.

A WARM SUNNY ROAD TRIP???


If you’re looking for warmth, sunshine and adventure then this is the perfect road trip where you will see 8 different states!

Some of the most unspoilt unique areas of the usa are so easily accessible from I-10 a highway which begins in Los Angeles and ends in Jacksonville Florida, along this route you will pass through the states of California, Arizona, New Mexico, Texas, Louisiana, Alabama and Florida!

What sights will you see along the route? The grand canyon, paddle boat tour of the Mississippi, historic towns in Georgia, Roswell, beautiful panhandle coastal cities, San Diego zoo , Tijuana Mexico, just a 20 minute drive from San Diego.

These are just a few of the sights you will pass along the way on this route, what a fun and exciting way to see the fabulous USA!!

There aren’t many places in the world where you will experience such a diverse culture! The best of things are found right in the city of LA from eateries skyscrapers, zoos, mountains, tranquil parks.

On the northern side you will find the famous beaches such as Venice beach, Malibu and Santa Monica, on the southern side you have Newport Beach, long beach and Huntington Beach.

The beach regions are so very different from the inland ports such as Beverly Hills and Hollywood, Los Angeles is a city made up of many smaller city’s that make it what it is today.

121 miles down the i-10 route you will find San Diego there are many fun places to stop reroute such as Newport beach, Laguna Beach, and there are some fabulous mansions to stop at also.

San Diego has many attractions to offer its visitors from San Diego zoo to the San Diego Coronado Bridge to the Coronado beach.

A twenty minute drive away you will find yourself in Tijuana Mexico! San Diego has a more laid back feel to it than Los Angeles and no matter which city you’re in, you won’t be more than 5 miles from the ocean!

Further down you will come to Arizona and the largest city Phoenix where temperatures can be over 100 degrees in the summer months!

A Warm Sunny Road Trip - USA

To the east you will come to Tucson and Saguaro National park.

Ghost towns like Tombstone, Nogales, Yuma, amazing mountain scenery everywhere!

Essential side trips:

LAS VEGAS
Add some craziness and excitement to your trip visit - Las Vegas which is about 90 minutes away.

New Mexico
Great places to visit in this region- white sands National monument, Albuquerque, Carlsbad caverns.
There is a lot of Hispanic and Native American influence in this region, so Spanish reminiscent architecture and hiking as well as excellent dining options.

TEXAS
As you enter Texas the mountainous region will provide some stellar views of the Chihuahua desert, the air becomes more humid as you approach the Gulf area of Houston, the 4th biggest city in the US.
Places of interest in this area; Austin, Dallas, El Paso, San Antonio and Houston.
They all have a Texas feel to them, but each one has its own niche!  Don’t miss the Houston space centre and if you can’t wait until you get to Florida for the parks then San Antonio has its own SeaWorld!

LOUISIANA
This is where the Cajun culture began! This state has a lot of Native American, old French, Creole and good old southern charm.
With fantastic architecture and authentic Cajun cuisine it’s unlike anywhere else in the world!
Follow the coastline down the Mississippi river which is what this state is famous for, try a river tour experience the beautiful views.

ALABAMA
The coastline in Alabama maybe short but it has many bays and inlets dotted around making it a great photo opportunity!

FLORIDA
The state full of hundreds of destinations on the coast as well as inland, some of the lesser known quieter beaches are abound the shores of the Florida panhandle with their stunning white sands and southern flavour and they are definitely worth a visit!

Here you will find something for everyone, young or old  - Florida holidaysthe home of the big child in you!!
